In the year 1980, my mom had a car accident, my twin brother died, and I survived with a disabled leg. So, I wasn’t able to walk for eight (8) years. After eight years, I started walking with a stick. At that time, there wasn’t any good health facility, just a clinic at Assin Sienchem in the Central Region of Ghana. The clinic couldn’t do anything better for me because it didn’t have enough equipment. Since then, I’ve been struggling with walking and enduring excruciating pains in my waist, back, knee, and ankle on a daily basis.
I have conducted some research, and they said that I can have surgeries and also get a prosthetic made specifically for my body where I’ll be able to walk and get some relief. I’m hoping to raise some money to have my surgery and to get a prosthesis.
