What Happened
My dear friend Britney recently experienced an incredibly tough stroke of bad luck. Just hours after her previous car insurance expired, she was involved in a serious accident that totaled her vehicle.
We’re beyond grateful she wasn’t seriously injured, but because the accident happened during that window without coverage, she won’t receive any insurance help to replace her car or additional medical costs from the crash.

Britney is a passionate performing artist and dedicated educator. She works multiple jobs—traveling across cities such as Surrey, Port Coquitlam, Maple Ridge, and Vancouver to teach, perform, rehearse, and audition. Without a car, she simply can’t sustain her work.

Britney is a hardworking artist who wears many hats — teaching early childhood music classes and theatre for pre-professional teens, and putting together musical revues, all on top of being a working actor in film and theatre. She consistently puts in more work than she’s asked for—because she believes in doing things to the best of her ability, in making art that matters, and in showing up for others.
The truth is, being an artist and educator in today’s world is already a tough road—one without benefits, backup plans, or paid time off. Now, after this unexpected accident, Britney is facing a situation that would be overwhelming for anyone—but especially for someone whose entire career depends on showing up in person, on time, with no safety net. She’s always made it work. But right now, let’s make sure she doesn’t have to do it alone.
