With heavy hearts, yet with hope and resilience, the family lost their precious son due to complications during her pregnancy.
Rach was medivaced into Anchorage, and sadly, my nephew Colton Apokedak passed on the medivac flight in. At 1:14 pm on 7-22-25, Colten was delivered stillborn.
As the family navigates this challenging time, with Rach beginning her healing journey and while out of work, we’d like to pour them with our love and support.
If any updates are needed, the family will share them. Please continue to hold them in your thoughts and prayers, lifting up Evon, Rachael, Stephanita, and Peter.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the health aides, medivac response team, L&D nurses, doctors, and everyone who provided care to the best of their ability.
Fly high, dear Colton, spotless child, and may your memory be a blessing to all who loved you, though you may not have been met alive, your life was already cherished by us all.
