Hi everyone,

My name is Alyssa. My sister and I decided to create this fundraiser for our incredible mom, Patty, who is courageously fighting breast cancer.

Patty has spent the last 8+ years serving her community as a Correctional Officer at the Faribault Prison in Minnesota. She’s known for her strength, fairness, and fierce dedication—not just on the job, but in every part of her life. She’s the rock of our family, the person everyone turns to, and now she needs our help.

Earlier this year, Patty was diagnosed with breast cancer. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy, and it has taken a serious toll on her physically and emotionally. Despite the challenges, she continues to fight with determination and grit—the same way she’s approached every challenge in her life.

After extensive research and consultations, we discovered a specialized treatment available abroad that offers new hope. This treatment has shown promising results for her type of cancer, but sadly, it is not covered by U.S. insurance. It also requires traveling adding even more financial strain to an already overwhelming situation.

Between the cost of the overseas treatment, ongoing chemo and medical expenses, travel, and time away from work, the financial burden has become too great for our family to carry alone. That’s why we’re turning to our community—friends, family, and even kind strangers—for help.
