We’ve lost everything, including our van. There was an unprecedented flash flood that collapsed the roof of our apartment building. No one is allowed in to try and retrieve any personal belongings. Our van was floating in our parking lot with several other vehicles, in about 15 feet of water. It is surely totaled.
We are staying with my daughter until we can figure out housing. There are 5 of us right now in a finished basement, with two dogs and a cat. We need cat supplies.
The owners of the restaurant where I work are being supportive. I’ll need new work clothes, makeup, and shoes immediately so I can get back to work, hopefully next week. I have family looking for a used car.
The Red Cross has our information, but I don’t know when they might call or exactly what they can help with.
Me and my son, 20, need everything again.
