Hello, my name is Sheyla. I am Christian’s partner. I typically don’t like to seek help, particularly financial support, but our current circumstances need legal representation for Christian. Wednesday evening, ICE picked him up at his workplace on June 11th at approximately 5:40 pm. As many of you are aware, he has a past, but this does not diminish the person he has become recently.
I have been with him for the past 3 years. Within that time, I have gotten the privilege to watch him grow on a more personal level. Although we were separated for two months, we were attempting to work through our issues. Regardless of our current standing, I need to advocate for him and WILL! He is more than his past mistakes and tattoos; he is the glue that holds his family together. He is an amazing sibling, child, friend, partner, and worker. Despite facing numerous setbacks, he embodies resilience. His intention was to redeem himself, to come back and work and return home, which is exactly what he did.
I am not seeking to reverse or fight his deportation, but rather ensure that he, like everyone else, receives fair representation. As he is now having to serve time for reentering, I left his court today and left a piece of me there. I am asking for any kind of guidance, prayers, legal assistance, or financial assistance.
