Hi. We have two trees that urgently need removed. We are in a rent to own situation. About halfway or more through. We are on a very fixed income. My husband is a veteran. We have two young children in the home a 7 and almost 5 year old. My almost 5 year old has special needs as she has mosaic Down syndrome but is very high functioning. We have two trees in serious need of removal. That are rapidly becoming safety issues.
Because we are in a rent to own situation we are stuck between a rock and a hard place. We are unable to get any kind of assistance that we would qualify for if we had a traditional home mortgage. According to our contract and property management company they are not responsible for this as they say we are responsible for any maintenance on the home.
We are unable to get any insurance other then renters insurance because we are rent to own and the property management company says not only are they not responsible but the insurance they hold on the property will also not cover this.
The trees are right around a number of utility lines which will affect the entire area. Our neighbors garage is also right in the line of where the most urgent of the two trees is going to fall. Last winter very large limb fell into the yard and bent a metal piece of my children’s swing set as well as made a huge dent in the ground. So large limb as well as small ones are falling.
We are trying to raise funds to get this taken care of. We also have other issues that we have either already taken care of or are trying to. We are hoping in the next few years to qualify for a traditional home loan but at this time we are working on that. But have been told that while on the right track don’t yet qualify.
I am asking pleading for any donations no matter how small or big to hopefully take care of this issue. In the future when ever an opportunity comes that we are able to pay it forward we will most definitely do so.
