Hi, I’m Kimberli.
After years of enduring an abusive environment, I’m taking the hardest—and most hopeful—step of my life: starting over with just my truck, my dog, and what I can carry. My adult children have recently left to live with their sister, escaping their father and beginning their healing. Now, I’m choosing to do the same—for them, for me, and for the future we all deserve.
This isn’t just about leaving. It’s about becoming—becoming safe, becoming free, and becoming the version of myself I’ve fought so hard to protect. I’ve spent months preparing for a new chapter by learning IT skills, building home labs, and creating a foundation for a better life. But even with all that grit, I can’t do this next step alone.
I’m humbly asking for help with:
A security deposit for a safe apartment near my family
Essential furniture and household basics to build a livable home from the ground up
Clothing and gear for job interviews so I can confidently step into IT roles
Updated IT equipment to support remote work and skill development
Short-term housing and transportation costs while I transition into stability
If you’ve ever had to start over, or had to choose freedom over familiarity, I hope my story resonates with you. Every share, donation, and word of encouragement brings me closer to a life where I no longer just survive—I thrive.
Even in this vulnerable moment, I believe in second chances. In healing. In kindness. And in the power of community to carry each other when it’s needed most.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for standing with me.
With hope and courage,
Kimberli (and my dog, who’s sticking with me every step of the way )
