On behalf of Nicole Bailey and her 9-year-old daughter Harper, our family is reaching out with love, urgency, and gratitude.
Nicole is a 33-year-old single mom, a kind, funny, and fiercely strong woman who has spent the last two years fighting for answers—and for her life. In October 2024, after persistent symptoms and medical visits, she received a heartbreaking diagnosis:
Stage 4 Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC)—a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer that had already spread to hard-to-reach lymph nodes.
But Nicole didn’t back down. She fought hard through months of chemotherapy and underwent a bilateral mastectomy in May 2025. We rejoiced when her doctors declared her free of breast cancer, and the affected lymph nodes had shrunk significantly.
Then, everything changed.
On June 25th, Nicole suffered a seizure. A spinal tap revealed a dangerous buildup of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) causing intense pressure in her head and back.
Three MRIs later, doctors discovered that the cancer had spread to the lining of her brain and spinal cord—a rare and devastating diagnosis known as:
Leptomeningeal metastasis from triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC)
This form of metastatic breast cancer is extremely rare, aggressive, and currently has no known cure. Nicole’s case is so unique, her doctors have described it as “one in a million.”
Nicole’s Strength, Our Mission
Nicole recently underwent brain surgery to place a shunt and relieve pressure on her brain. Now, she is undergoing 10 sessions of radiation therapy, starting July 11, to manage her symptoms and slow the disease.
After radiation, Nicole hopes to enter a clinical trial—her best chance at more time. But the trials she qualifies for are out of town, requiring travel, lodging, and extended time away from home.
Nicole is currently unable to work and has exhausted her savings. The emotional, physical, and financial toll is overwhelming. That’s why we’re asking for your help.
