Help Marie Rebuild Her Life — A Faithful Soul Facing Homelessness
Organizer: Kristen McLaughlin
Hello friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
I’m reaching out today on behalf of a dear friend of mine who is a courageous and deeply faithful woman named Marie. Life has dealt her more than her fair share of hardship, and yet she continues to hold onto her belief in God and the kindness of others.
Marie is currently experiencing homelessness. Night after night, she tries to find a safe place to rest—only to be told again and again, “There’s no room at the shelter.” Most recently, all of her belongings were stolen—everything she had left in the world. She has been trying to get services through the county for almost two years now, and she’s only been told that Jonathan’s Place is the only shelter in Marin. She calls every Monday at 10:00 a.m., as instructed, for the past 3 months, and still there are no beds available. There has to be another way to help her get housing—and this is why I’ve started this campaign for her.
She has lost so much, but she has not lost hope.
✨ Bible Verse of Faith & Restoration
“God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.”
— Psalm 46:5
I’m organizing this fundraiser to help Marie meet some basic and urgent needs:
Support toward more stable housing and a job
Clothes, hygiene items, and essential items
Marie is a woman of faith. She believes there’s a reason she’s still here, and she’s holding onto hope that things will turn around. I believe she just needs a hand to help her get there.
If you can give anything—whether it’s $5, $50, or just a share of this campaign—it will go directly to helping Marie get back on her feet. Your generosity could be the miracle she’s been praying for.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any help you can give. Let’s show Marie that she’s not alone, and that compassion still exists in this world.
With gratitude,
Kristen McLaughlin
