No one wants to wake up to hear the splashing of rain inside their home in the middle of the night. As a mom of 2 wonderful girls, it was the last thing on my mind.
Needing a new roof was also the last thing I was prepared for. As a single-income household, finances were tight to begin with. Being told that a new roof would cost $8,000 and the interior work of the ceilings would be another $2,000 was like a punch to the gut. I would love to be able to save $20 here and there until I have the money saved up, but unfortunately, it’s rainy here in SC and summers aren’t exactly dry. I’m afraid the damage is only getting worse and will eventually be too bad to repair at the cost I was given. Not to mention, the risk of mold.
Anyone that knows me also knows that I absolutely hate having to ask for help because I can’t do something myself, but this is bigger than I can handle. To anyone that donates, I sincerely appreciate it. If you’ve read this far, thank you for your time.
