Evan Lonsdale, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away the morning of June 29th, 2025. He was 24 years old.
In December of 2024, he graduated CU Boulder with a degree in Astrophysical & Planetary Sciences, alongside a Business minor. Just two months before his passing, he moved back home to Brentwood, CA, where he started a full-time job. He had a list of goals and dreams that he was so excited to fulfill, and, if you knew Evan, you knew that his curiosity stretched far beyond the confines of this world. In his classes he loved studying exoplanets. He wanted to learn more about and dreamed of discovering planets in other solar systems within our galaxy. He wanted to go to space, and we believe he would have made it there.
Since Evan never got the chance to make that journey in life, we want to give him that wish in spirit. The Celestis Voyager Spaceflight offers a personalized flight capsule to embark on a “mission that escapes the Earth-Moon system and extends into limitless or endless space, on an infinite journey into the depths of the solar system.”
Our gratitude for any sense of contribution is immeasurable, and any additional funds will be provided to Norcal Golden Retriever Rescue, as Evan wanted to rescue a Golden Retriever. Thank you for helping us give the send off among the stars that Evan spent the 24 years of his life reaching for.
His ending will be written in stardust.
