Dear friends, family, and compassionate hearts,
I’m reaching out with deep humility and hope in one of the hardest times my family and I have ever faced.
Since losing my job in January, I’ve been trying everything I can to provide for our household of five. I started working for Amazon Flex, and while I’ve learned the ropes and how to get better routes, it’s still not enough. Two members of our family can’t work due to medical conditions, and though my daughter and son both recently started restaurant jobs, we’re struggling to keep up. Every day feels like a race just to survive.
I’ll never forget waking up at 3:30 a.m. this morning, the day after Father’s Day, ready to go to the Amazon warehouse for work. I stepped outside, still half-asleep, and realized the curb in front of our house was empty—our truck had been repossessed. I just stood there at the front door, numb, trying to hold back tears. That truck wasn’t just transportation—it was how I worked, how I kept us going. Seeing it gone was like watching hope disappear.
We have until June 30 to reclaim the truck and pay the balance before it’s gone for good. Without it, my Amazon Flex income ends. At the same time, our rent is overdue and another month is around the corner on July 3. The weight of this moment is crushing.
I never thought I’d be in a position to ask for help like this, but I believe in the power of kindness and community. If you can donate—even a little—it will go directly to helping us recover the truck, cover our rent, and keep food on the table. If donating isn’t possible, a share or a kind word means the world to us.
Thank you for reading our story. Thank you for caring. We’re not giving up—we’re just hoping we don’t have to face this fight alone.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Dino
