Last night, June 14th 2025, at 8:06pm EDT a flash flood warning for Belmont, OH; Washington, PA; Brooke, WV; Ohio, WV; and surrounding areas was issued. Within a matter of minutes water began to rise rapidly spewing onto roads, cars, and homes as families frantically fled or sought safety.
By 9:00pm EDT catastrophe had struck. The people of Triadelphia, Wv, Elm Grove, and many parts of the Ohio Valley were experiencing a mass flash flood that left many homeless and terrified, fighting their way to safety through the night as the rushing water took everything in its path.
As of this morning, a State of Emergency was announced.
Among the people effected by the flood were members of my family, who luckily made it to safety before the mass flood wrecked havoc upon their home. My Aunt, Uncle, and her children lost everything; food, clothing, furniture, the house and their car. A lifetime of memories that can’t be replaced.
