Hi my name is Karin and I am fundraising to help pay for medical equipment and private physiotherapy, as well as daily fees that are not covered by ohip.for my husband Paul. He has been moved from a facility offering 5 days of extensive physio and occupational therapy to a facility not providing the same amount of physio to help him reach a goal to possibly walk again. . Wonderful facility but not a spinal rehab.centre. Our health care only allows a certain amount of time to stay in a facility covered by OHIP. He has been hospitalized since Dec.2024 making good strides but I feel he will go backwards if we cannot get him more physio. And occupational therapy. He has not reached a plateau and therefore I feel additional help is needed to give him a chance.. HE IS ONTOP OF EVERTHING HAVING THROAT SURGERY ON July 17 in hopes of being able to have his feeding tube removed, however that will mean another set back.
We lost our business in November of 2024 due to a contract being cancelled well before it expired. Any help will be appreciated.
