Hi, I am Joanna Jeur. Please help me make a difference in the life of Kinoa Arji Kitamon, who is my older brother’s grandson. Kitamon is only 4 months old. On Saturday, July 5th, Kitamon was transported in an air helicopter from Kona Big Island to Honolulu Kapiolani Hospital due to a non-stop high fever. They ran many tests on his body to check what was going on with him. When the results came in the following morning, it was heartbreaking news to the family because he is only 4 months old and he kept smiling, not even crying. By looking at him like this, we know that he is a young WARRIOR.
Kitamon is struggling with LCH, Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH), which is a rare, cancer-like condition. It happens when a person’s body makes too many immature Langerhans cells. These cells are a type of immune cell known as histiocytes. When these cells build up, they can form tumors or damage tissue, bone, and organs. Kitamon will start his chemotherapy soon and he is still in PICU at Kapiolani Hospital. His grandparents don’t have a place to live in Honolulu because they originally lived in Kona Big Island. The grandfather, who is my brother, only stays with me because they allow only one person to stay at the hospital. Kitamon’s mother, Ella, will be here tomorrow so that she can relieve her parents and, of course, stay with her son.
With all the medical expenses and hospital stays, your donations will help make Kitamon’s life different. So, families and friends, I’m writing to ask if you could support my brother’s little family for medical expenses. Your help, no matter how small, would mean the world to me. If you’re able to donate, or even just share my story, you’ll be making a real difference in my life. Thank you so much and God bless each and everyone, especially Kitamon.
