In Loving Memory of Josephine Halby
It is with deep sadness that we share the tragic passing of Josephine Halby, who lost her life on July 22nd after a devastating accident near her home, where she was struck by a cement truck while crossing the street.
Josephine is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Douglas Halby, and her beloved dogs, Q and BB, who brought her so much joy. A lifelong resident of Long Island, Josephine was born in Brooklyn, NY, and spent her days enjoying the simple pleasures of life, especially the beach and the ocean, which she deeply loved.
To those who knew her, Josephine was the definition of kindness and loyalty. She was a thoughtful friend, a dedicated coworker, and someone who always showed up when others needed support. Her passions were many: from theater and movies to music and travel. She embraced life’s experiences with open arms and a joyful heart.
She leaves behind a life full of love, memories, and the many people and pets who adored her. Her sudden passing has left an unimaginable void in the lives of those closest to her.
We are raising funds to support the Halby family during this incredibly difficult time. Contributions will go to Douglas for helping manage immediate expenses as he begins to navigate life without his beloved partner.
Any amount you can give is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to contribute financially, we kindly ask that you share this page to help us honor Josephine’s life and legacy.
Thank you for your love and support.
