It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved brother, Ghirmay Ghebreab, who left us on July 22, 2025 at the age of 73. Ghirmay passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and loved ones.

He was a devoted husband, a proud father to his two beloved children — Bettyel Ghebreab and Matheos Ghebreab — and a cherished member of our community. Ghirmay touched many lives with his kindness, strength, and quiet generosity.

As we mourn this great loss, we are reaching out to friends, family, and community members to help support his family during this very difficult time. All funds raised will go directly to cover funeral and burial expenses, and to ease the financial burden on his wife and children in the weeks and months ahead.

The funeral will be held in Edmonton, Alberta. We will share the date and service details once they are confirmed.
