Help Us Stay in Our Home – A Mom & Daughter in Crisis
Hello, my name is Tanya and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart as I ask for help for me and my daughter. We are currently facing eviction and are nearly three months behind on rent.
Our journey over the past few years has been incredibly difficult. After escaping a domestic violence situation involving my daughter’s father, we’ve had to move from place to place, often staying with others just to get by. Despite the instability, I’ve always done everything I could to keep my daughter safe, loved, and in school.
Almost three years later, I finally found a place of our own—a small apartment just five minutes from my daughter’s school. I chose it purposefully, knowing I didn’t have reliable transportation and wanting to give her consistency. But now, even that small stability is at risk.
The car I drive is now up for repossession. I haven’t been able to keep up with insurance or get the tags renewed. And things got even harder recently when the contract job I had for almost two years came to end. Though I was offered a full-time role, circumstances beyond my control made it impossible to accept.
I was finally able to secure a new job—I started in March 2025, and while I’m hopeful about what’s ahead, I’ve fallen so far behind financially that I can’t catch up on my own.
I’m doing everything I can to hold on and create a better life for my daughter. Your support—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing our story—would mean the world to us right now. Every bit helps us take one more step toward stability and peace.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
With gratitude,
