Help Support Mitchell – A Cowboy, Storyteller, and western film gunfighter.
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
We’re reaching out today with heavy hearts to ask for help on behalf of a dear friend of our family—Mitchell, a 69-year-old man from Dallas, Texas, who has recently been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. Doctors have given him less than a year to live.
Mitchell has no surviving family. He lost both of his parents years ago and tragically lost his brother in a fire. For the last several years, the only constant presence in his life has been my grandmother, Leta Paddack. They met one afternoon at the Mesquite Rodeo, where my grandmother was selling ice cream. That simple encounter sparked a beautiful friendship that continued nearly every weekend until they ended up becoming neighbors.
Mitchell is one of a kind. A man with a true Texan spirit. He’s a musician, a storyteller, a Western reenactment gunfighter, and an all around passionate actor. He has always loved the art of performance as well as writing. Despite the hardships he’s faced, he’s remained a kind soul with a heart full of stories and a deep love for the Western way of life.
Now, as Mitchell faces the hardest chapter of his life, my grandmother has stepped up to care for him…emotionally, spiritually, and, soon, financially. Since he has no family, the responsibility of his final expenses will fall entirely on her. We are hoping to raise funds to help cover the cost of his medical care, comfort needs during this time, and eventually, funeral expenses.
Any donation, big or small, will make a difference. Whether it’s $5 or simply sharing this campaign, your support means the world.
Let’s honor Mitchell’s life while he’s still here. Let’s help him find peace knowing he’s not alone. And let’s give a little relief to the person who has stood by him through it all.
Thank you for reading, for giving, and for caring. ♥️
