Hi, my name is Michelle. I am disabled. I just had major surgery on my spine. I just moved into this mobile home. There were visible repairs that needed to be done, and she assured me that they would be done. I had 2 weeks to get ready for my surgery.
And she assured me that we could get these done.
I moved into this mobile home on the 3rd of May. I went into surgery on the nineteenth and was in the hospital for 4 days. When I came home, I expected the repairs to be done, but they were not. I texted the landlord. She gave me the phone number for the maintenance guy. I called and left a message. He said he was busy and would get to me as soon as he could. Two weeks later, he showed up. I asked if he had a new toilet because the other one was cracked beyond repair. He said yes. I didn’t bother them while they worked, but I did bring to their attention that there were several issues: the floor, the tub needed to be resurfaced, and when you step into the tub, it gives like it’s not supported. The filth I had no choice but to clean. I have photos. I listed all of this. Some of the wood planks on the ramp were chipped, and the roof shingles that were put on the ramp were blowing away. Then I found black mold underneath the kitchen sink and mold or black mold in the bathroom where there’s water damage on the roof. It seems to be spreading.
When I listed all this, he took a picture and sent it to her. Three days later, she put an eviction notice on my door and stated that she canceled my lease with her. I have 7 days to pay the rent or get out.
Again, I’m disabled, 64 years old. I don’t have the money to move again. I just need a safe place for me and my dog so that I can move on with my life, what’s left of it.
Thank you for your time. And God bless. I just hope that you can see I’m a good person, not a scammer, not any of that stuff. I had back surgery. I can’t do anything right now. All I do is cry every day and every night. My dog, I can’t live without him. He’s the only reason I get up every day. He’s the only reason that I go outside every day. I have high anxiety and depression. He is my baby. I have a safe enclosure for him, but he likes to stay next to me. I’m a very, very clean person. If there’s a house that I can afford, $1000 a month or less, I would really appreciate it. And I would really appreciate any amount that you could donate so that I could move out of here and be safe with me and my dog and just recover.
Thank you again, and God be with you all.
