Hi, my name is Sirine. I’m a 19 year old Belgian girl, a Vice World Champion in Dance, and I live with a chronic illness that changed my life overnight.
I was recently diagnosed with oligoarthritis, a condition that causes intense pain and swelling in the joints. Just a few months ago, I was training hard with my team, dancing on international stages. Today, I struggle to walk without pain. Losing that part of my life was heartbreaking. But I’m not the type to give up!!
Since I was a little girl, I’ve dreamed of studying in the United States. I’ve been accepted into my dream university to study physical therapy, and it feels like everything I’ve been through has led me here. Because now, my pain has a purpose.
I want to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy so I can help people who, like me, have lost their strength, their freedom, or hope. I want to become the kind of physical therapist I needed when I was at my lowest.
This opportunity is once in a lifetime. I’ve worked hard, I have a student job, and I’m saving as much as I can but the truth is, I can’t make it without support.
If my story touches you, if you believe in resilience and the power of turning struggle into something meaningful, I would be incredibly grateful for your help!
Every donation brings me one step closer to walking again with purpose and helping others do the same.
With all my heart, thank you.
Sirine
