Hi, my name is Kodi, and I’m a full-time single mom to two beautiful children—Grayson and Remi. I’ve been raising them completely on my own, without support from their father or extended family.
I lost both of my parents when I was just 8 years old. Since then, I’ve had to figure out life without the safety net or support system many people rely on. That’s made me incredibly independent—but it also means when something goes wrong, I don’t have anyone to fall back on.
Recently, I bought a car from a woman at a local church, hoping it would help me get back on my feet. Unfortunately, she misled me about the car’s condition, and now it needs urgent repairs. Specifically, it requires new inner and outer tie rod ends, brake work, CV axles replacement, and the AC doesn’t work, which makes driving with the kids very uncomfortable, especially in warm weather.
I feel so taken advantage of, but without a working car, I can’t get to work or take my kids to school, appointments, or even the grocery store. I take Grayson and Remi with me to work every day because I can’t afford daycare, and having reliable transportation is the only way I can keep any kind of structure and survival going for all of us.
I don’t receive any child support from Grayson’s father, so the full financial responsibility falls on me.
My kids never asked to be born, and it’s not fair to them that they have to suffer because of my poor choices in men. I’ve learned my lesson, and I want them to have better than I ever did. I’m prepared to put in the work to make that happen.
I’m deeply ashamed and embarrassed to be asking for help, but I believe in kindness and paying it forward—I would help anyone in need if I were in their position. Right now, I’ve exhausted every option and truly need support.
Between rent, groceries, and caring for my kids, I simply don’t have enough to cover the cost of repairs. I was quoted [insert estimate] to get the car back on the road safely.
If you’re able to help at all, even a little, it would mean the world to me and my children. Every dollar truly helps us stay afloat and keep moving forward.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you can’t donate, sharing this page still helps so much.
With love and gratitude,
Kodi, Grayson & Remi ❤️
