My car has been a lifeline for me and my family, but lately, it’s been one challenge after another. After spending seven months in the shop for a recall and having the engine replaced, I was hoping things would finally get back to normal. Unfortunately, now the transmission is failing, and I also need to replace the windshield because of a large crack. Right now, I don’t have reverse, which makes it almost impossible to park or get around safely. Despite these issues, I’m still relying on my car every day because I need it to get to work and take care of my family. Public transportation isn’t a real option for us, so I’m doing my best to manage, but it’s getting harder and harder.
Having a reliable vehicle would mean so much to us. I have two-year-old twins, and being able to fix my car would let us get out more—going to the park, running errands, and enjoying weekend outings together. Right now, we’re often stuck at home because I can’t risk driving too far or parking in places where I might get stuck. Any help would go directly toward repairing the transmission and replacing the windshield, so we can get back to a normal routine and enjoy more time together as a family.
