Hi, I’m reaching out to ask for help in giving my nephew a fresh start in life.
After spending the last 3 years in prison for a mistake involving a fake ID and a rental car, he’s finally being released. He was under 25 and used a fake ID to rent a car — a desperate decision that led to a crash and time behind bars. He’s taken responsibility, served his sentence, and is now walking out with nothing to his name but hope.
He has no parents, and before prison, he was living with my mother — his grandmother — who raised him. Sadly, her Alzheimer’s has worsened, and she’s now in a nursing home. He’s coming home to a world that’s moved on without him, and I’m the only family he has left.
He’ll be staying with me while he works to rebuild his life, and I want so badly to help him start off with dignity. But the reality is: he needs more than just a roof over his head. He needs clothes, toiletries, an ID, a phone, transportation, food… everything. He’s starting from zero.
I’m asking for help to give him the basics most of us take for granted — not just so he can survive, but so he can truly start over. Your donation would go toward:
• Clothes and shoes
• Toiletries and daily essentials
• A phone and service plan to stay connected
• Transportation to get to job interviews
• Replacement of vital documents (ID, birth certificate, etc.)
• Groceries
This isn’t just about things. This is about showing him that someone still believes in him. That second chances are real. That he’s not alone.
If you’re able to give — even a few dollars — or just share this campaign, you’ll be part of something bigger than a donation. You’ll be helping a young man find his way back to life, with a little love, a lot of grace, and a family who believes he’s worth fighting for.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting us.
