For over 25 years, Crystal Murley has been a pillar of the Montrose community. As a longtime bartender, local artist, and fierce supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, Crystal has poured more than just drinks—she’s poured her heart into this neighborhood.
Crystal is the kind of person who gives without being asked. She’s donated countless pieces of her stunning glasswork and artwork to benefit community organizations and fundraisers. She’s given her time, her energy, and her love to help others—especially those in the service industry who have faced medical hardships. Now, it’s time for us to show up for her.
On **June 28th—Gay Pride Night**—Crystal was admitted to the ICU after experiencing over a week of severe symptoms including vomiting, nausea, high fever, and jaundice. After 9 grueling days in the hospital and a battery of tests including blood cultures, a lumbar puncture, and consultations with infectious disease specialists, doctors confirmed that Crystal was battling **sepsis (blood poisoning)**. It was a terrifying and painful ordeal.
Crystal’s last shift at work was on **June 21**, and as anyone in the service industry knows, not working means no paycheck. That’s now a full **month without income**—and with more follow-ups and recovery ahead, her return to work is still uncertain.
Crystal has always shown up for us. Let’s show her that her community stands behind her.
**How Your Donation Helps:**
