Life’s unpredictability reminds us of the importance of community, compsssion, and generosity. My name is Betty and today, I am reaching out on behalf of a dear friend who finds himself in urgent need of support to purchase a vehicle. Recently, his vehicle-his means of transportation, independence, and service to others- was totalled, when a passing vehicle struck it while parked outside his home. Although insurance covered part of the cost, he is left with a 2,000 deficit that he must cover out of pocket. This unexpected financial burden has prevented him from getting to work which included commuting, leaving him without the means to move forward. More than just a personal loss, his vehicle was a lifeline-not just for him but for those he selfishley, assisted, myself included. In my own moment of grief following the passing of my mother last December, he used his car to support my family ensuring we had what we needed in such a difficult time. His kindness has touched many lives, and now he is the one in need. If you’ve ever relied on kindness of a friend, a neighber, or even a stranger in a time of uncertaintey, I urge you to consider extending that same generisity. Any contribution large or small, will make a profound difference. Together, we can help restore his mobility, his livlihood, and his ability to continue uplifting others.
