I have been unemployed for one year – as a 66 year old woman, it is very difficult to obtain employment. Despite all of the right choices, unfortunately I have exhausted my savings and am not in a position to begin my social security benefits. I have several potential job opportunities in motion – nothing guaranteed – but will need funds to get through the next couple of months to sustain my current situation, after which I need to make decisions regarding housing and career transition which will likely be at a lower rate of pay than my former professional status.
