In Honor of Anthony Scalzo: Helping Families Impacted by Addiction

On July 13th, 2025, we lost someone truly unforgettable. Anthony was the kind of person who walked into a room and brought it to life. A magnetic energy. A loyal heart. A beautiful mix of chaos and kindness. When Anthony loved you, he made sure you knew it — through laughter, loyalty, and his unwavering presence.

He was a one-of-a-kind soul. Adventurous, silly, fiercely loyal, and endlessly generous. A lover of all animals (from the tiniest of dogs to Living Treasures Giraffes), Anthony had a soft spot for the vulnerable — whether it was someone down on their luck or someone just needing a smile. He was goofy, intense, hilarious, and above all: a force of nature.

Anthony loved hard — especially his family. He was deeply family-oriented, and even when life got messy, that bond never broke. It is because of that love that we are starting this fundraiser — not for his family, but in his honor.

This fundraiser is dedicated to helping families who have lost a loved one to addiction and are left grappling with the financial burden of funeral expenses. Too many families are hit with the unimaginable — and on top of the grief, they’re left scrambling to pay for basic end-of-life services.

We want to change that. We want Anthony’s name to live on in compassion. We want his legacy to be one that helps others carry the weight he knew all too well.

Your donation will go directly toward easing the financial burden on families impacted by addiction-related loss — covering funeral costs, memorials, and support in their hardest moments. This is just one way we keep Anthony’s spirit alive: by showing up for people, just like he did.
