Hi friends,
I’m reaching out on behalf of a colleague I deeply admire. Esther Abiodun, who works tirelessly to support her family in Nigeria. I have worked with her for a year now and her deep passion and selfless work to help her community to be self reliant has impressed me. Right now, her family is facing a life-threatening medical emergency, and they urgently need our help.
Esther’s younger brother is in critical condition, battling severe liver and kidney complications. After undergoing four emergency dialysis treatments, he narrowly survived a terrifying episode of internal bleeding caused by a damaged blood socket. Thanks to quick action and faith, he’s still with us, but his fight isn’t over yet.
Doctors have confirmed he now requires Albumin Infusions, which are crucial to stabilize his condition and continue his dialysis safely through his chest. The cost is overwhelming for the family—₦260,000 naira (around $175 USD) per bottle, and he needs six bottles, totaling ₦1,560,000 naira (~$1,050 USD).
Esther has been doing everything she can, seeking out hospitals, working with dietitians, and adjusting his care to reduce the swelling in his body. But they cannot afford the treatment alone, and time is of the essence.
We’re asking for your kindness and support to raise $1,200 USD to cover his medical treatment and related costs. Every dollar, every share, every prayer helps.
Please donate if you can, and share this with others who might be moved to help. Together, we can help dear Esther who I admire as someone who always gives, never expecting anything in return.
With deep gratitude,
Vanessa Lozano Hardman
