Help Me Save My Only Vehicle – Disabled Veteran in Crisis
Hello, my name is Dillon Dubuc. I’m a disabled Army veteran with a 100% permanent and total disability rating. I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a humble request.
Earlier this year, my vehicle broke down and had to be taken to the Mazda dealership in Bellevue, Nebraska. Since January, it’s been sitting there waiting for repairs to be paid. The total cost came out to $4,040—a cost I had every intention of covering.
Unfortunately, life has been incredibly hard lately. After getting jerked around by several trucking companies and dealing with job instability, my income has suffered. To make matters harder, I recently lost my father, who was one of my biggest sources of strength. On top of that, my husband is also disabled and unable to work due to his own health issues. We’re trying our best to get by on limited income, but it just hasn’t been enough.
This vehicle is not just a car—it’s my connection to work, doctors, family, and stability. Without it, everything becomes harder: keeping jobs, staying healthy, and just getting through daily life.
I’ve never been great at asking for help, but I’m at the point where I have no choice. If I can’t pay for the repairs by June 22nd, I risk losing the vehicle for good.
If you find it in your heart to help—whether through a donation or by sharing this with others—I would be deeply grateful. Every little bit helps bring me closer to keeping the one thing that helps me hold it all together.
Thank you for reading, supporting, and caring.
With gratitude,
Dillon Dubuc
