I am Erika Gutiérrez’s niece, today I’ll be sharing her story to hopefully get help for her family and situation she’s currently in.
Erika is a 37 year old loving mother of two and an amazing wife.
She was diagnosed with Cancer around 3 years ago prior to her diagnosis she had already health issues but was always told a different diagnostic.
During those 3 years Erika has given her all to beat all odds. She was firstly diagnosed with Colon cancer and later it had turned into ovarian cancer. The cancer started to spread through her body aggressively after doctors said it was controlled.
Erika has always been so resilient, brave and beat every odd there was given.
During this year of 2025, her cancer just seemed to get worse and worse as each day went on. She started getting more physically ill and it got to the point where her body has just stopped functioning properly.
After such a long battle, endless trips to the hospital, countless counts of chemotherapy and all sorts of medicines and procedures she endured, her body had finally decided that it was enough of the pain and suffering she had been through .
She was given hospice because there’s nothing more any medical professional can possibly do. Her body is shutting down. She’s still smiles and gives her all everyday even through everything.
This is heartbreaking seeing the person you love and care for a lot going through this.
Hope and faith are never lost during these moments.

Hola chicos, Mi nombre Laisha Macías y soy la sobrina de Erika Gutiérrez.
Este fundraiser es para ayudar a su esposo y a sus hijos a superar esta difícil situación. La mayor parte del dinero donado se destinará a pagar sus facturas médicas, servicios funerarios y también a sus hijos. Cualquier donación y palabras de afirmación son muy apreciadas ❤️
Soy la sobrina de Erika Gutiérrez, hoy compartiré su historia para, con suerte, obtener ayuda para su familia y la situación en la que se encuentra actualmente.
Erika tiene 37 años y es una amorosa madre de 2 hijos y esposa.
Le diagnosticaron cáncer hace unos 3 años antes de su diagnóstico, ya tenía problemas de salud, pero siempre se le decía un diagnóstico diferente.
Durante esos 3 años, Erika lo ha dado todo para vencer todas las probabilidades. Primero le diagnosticaron cáncer de colon y más tarde se convirtió en cáncer de ovario. El cáncer comenzó a extenderse agresivamente por su cuerpo después de que los médicos dijeran que estaba controlado.
Erika siempre ha sido tan resistente, valiente y ha vencido todo lo que se ha dado.
Durante este año de 2025, su cáncer parecía empeorar cada vez más a medida que pasaba cada día. Empezó a enfermarse más físicamente y llegó al punto en que su cuerpo acaba de dejar de funcionar correctamente.
Después de una batalla tan larga, viajes interminables al hospital, innumerables recuentos de quimioterapia y todo tipo de medicamentos y procedimientos que soportó, su cuerpo finalmente había decidido que ya era suficiente el dolor y el sufrimiento por el que había pasado.
Le dieron un paz en casa porque no hay nada más que ningún profesional médico pueda hacer. Su cuerpo se está apagando. Ella todavía sonríe y le da todo todos los días, incluso a través de todo.
Es desgarrador ver a la persona que amas y te importa mucho pasar por esto.
