I’m reaching out to you today with a heavy heart to ask for your support for my dear sister in faith, Ke’lona Hamilton. Ke’lona, a devoted single mother and a proud Muslimah, is facing an incredibly difficult time. Her beloved father, Kenneth Hamilton, passed away peacefully at the age of 67, after a long and courageous battle with Stage 4 lung cancer.

Kenneth’s fight was relentless. He endured immense suffering as the cancer led to a heart infection, multiple strokes, and eventually kidney failure. For nearly two weeks, he fought with incredible strength, even after being taken off life support, holding on for another three hours before finally finding peace.

Unfortunately, the extensive medical treatments and the financial strain of his illness left Kenneth with no life insurance, burial, or funeral funds. This has left Ke’lona, who was lovingly named after her father, with the overwhelming burden of his final responsibilities, including any outstanding bills, burial costs, and other unforeseen expenses. As a struggling single mother, she already carries the full financial responsibility for her home and children, and now, the added cost of traveling home after arranging and attending her father’s burial is an extra weight on her shoulders.

We believe that no one should have to bear such a profound financial burden while grieving the loss of a parent. As a community, we can come together to alleviate some of this stress for Ke’lona. Your generous contributions will directly assist with:

Funeral and Burial Expenses: Covering the costs of a burial for Kenneth Hamilton.

Outstanding Bills & Expenses: Helping to manage the financial aftermath of his long illness.
